BLU-U Therapy for Acne
There is a new treatment available for acne using a blue light. Since some cases of moderate acne may not respond to conventional treatments, we may consider blue light acne treatment. The basic problem in acne is that the sebaceous glands become clogged and a bacteria called p. acnes grows in the gland. This results in some swelling that forms a pimple in the skin. In some individuals this process becomes very active, troublesome and hard to control. The BLU-U is a very special blue light that can kill the p. acnes bacteria in your skin. Treatments are simple. You can sit with your face close to the light for 15 minutes twice a week for a month or so. It is very safe and painless. After a few weeks, the blue light can control your acne or clear it up for a long period of time. Unfortunately, insurance companies list the BLU-U blue light as a cosmetic treatment so there will be a charge for the treatments. If you are looking for an alternative to medications or antibiotics, it might be just what you need. When you need more aggressive phototherapy for your acne, you may wish to consider PHOTODYNAMIC ACNE THERAPY. This treatment starts with the application of a photoactive chemical to your skin followed by treatment with the BLU-U. Click here for more information.
