Dermatology Assistant and Skin Care Consultant
Marie-Merced Thompson
Marie-Merced ("MM" as she is known by friends and family) works part-time as needed as a Dermatology Assistant filling in for various positions involving either direct patient care, front desk reception and scheduling or as a skin care consultant. She has received training in color analysis, individualized skin care programming and makeup artistry as well as directly working with patients in treatment, instruction and skin care education. She works in the retail area by appointment as a skin care consultant/color analyst. MM started with the practice in the early 90’s and has been an integral member of the retail development team. She received a B.A. in English from California State University, San Francisco and pursued additional courses toward a Master’s degree in English. MM has worked as a substitute teacher, in cosmetic retail sales in major department stores in San Francisco as well as with her husband in real estate development. She has two college-aged children. She enjoys family and community activities and is twice Past-President of Central Catholic High School’s Parent Teacher Group in which she still remains involved. Her interests include travel, entertaining, gourmet cooking, and reading.
